GCA are engaged to provide structural and civil engineering design for this £10m conversion of a Grade II listed building to mixed commercial, retail and office use.
We are able to combine our understanding of listed and heritage buildings with our experience in modern commercial development to present a cost effective engineering strategy for this complex project.
The building has attracted press covering in recent years and was included in the top 10 of endangered buildings in Derby by the Victoria Society. It was built in 1877 by Kirk and Randall as part of the Great Northern Railway at Friargate Station and was listed as Grade II in 1986.
